How do we build a green home?

All of our third-party engineered-certified homes come with these features built-in to the process. We challenge you to find another builder whose standard delivery list provides as many lasting benefits as ours does. These features extend the life of your home, vastly improve the quality of your home environment, and ensure a lifetime of savings. Our process ensures all of our homes are built to the New Mexico green building standards.

The Foundation

  • 3 Stage Poured Foundation with 3500 PSI concrete
  • Thermal Block Interior 4’ under Interior Stem Walls
  • Thermal Block Interior 4’ under Foundation Cap perimeters
  • Vinyl Double Insulated Aquapex Water Lines Above and Below Grade

The Walls

  • 2×8 or 2×6 High Stud Framing – depending upon plan
  • 9′ or 10′ Ceiling Height – depending upon plan
  • R 23 or R 30 Blown in Fiberglass Insulation – depending upon plan
  • All sheetrock Silicone Caulked and Glued Before Nailing to Wall Studs
  • Structural Wood Exterior Sheathing OSB Board
  • Double Glass Low E Windows Rated at 3.3
  • Expanding Foam around Windows, Exterior Doors and Exterior Penetrations
  • Pesticide Delivery System Inside Walls with an Exterior Portal for Service Injection

The Roof

  • 1 Foot Extended Overhung Eaves Roof Perimeter
  • 5/12 and 6/12 Roof Pitch
  • R-60 Blown in Fiberglass Insulation – depending upon plan
  • Concrete Roof Tiles with a Lifespan of up to 40 Years
  • All Heating & Cooling Ducts are below the Insulated Ceiling and within the Interior Thermal Envelop of the Home

  • Mature Landscaping in the Front and Side Yards
  • Automatic Irrigation designed by a LEEDS certified Landscape Architect

The Certifications

  • Certified by Third Party Green Engineers as Part of Building Permit
  • All Building plans Stamped by Structural Engineer
  • All Green Certificates Recorded to the Deed and Title Policy
